When will it get easier?

Uncertainty looms large,

And hope is almost impossible to find.

With a heavy sigh and slumped shoulders,

I sit there, wondering what the new year would bring.

I have been here before,

I have wrestled with uncertainty a couple times.

And yet I struggle to find hope,

Growing up is a scam, I tell you.

"I got this", He tells me,

It could easily be the millionth time,

"But the stakes are too high this time", I remind him.

He smiles, saying, "Honey, with you, the stakes are always too high.

But, how about you take deep breaths ,

Focus on what I have asked you to do already."

"I might spiral out again tomorrow, I reply wryly,

That's alright, he assures me, I got you, every single time.

When will it get easier?

I ask him, exhausted with life at 28.

The more you focus on your purpose,

The less uncertainty would bother you, he assures.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
