I have seen…

I have seen God show up,

When I thought all was lost.

I have seen Him stay by my side,

When all I had was panic.

Oh yes! I have seen –

The faithfulness of the Father,

For I have walked through wilderness.

I have sung praises with a heavy heart,

Lifted up hands unto heaven with nothing to offer,

I have stood in front of the red sea and watched the waters ready to swallow me whole.

I have fallen apart more times than I can remember,

And through it all,

I have seen the Father stay faithful.

No, my deliverance isn’t here yet,

But maybe deliverance doesn’t come the way I expect,

Maybe deliverance comes quietly,

While it is still dark and the pain still persists.

No matter the crisis at hand,

Know this my weary soul,

Your loving Father still sits on the throne!
