It takes some time!

It takes some time, For my faith to grow, For my heart to know that God will see me through.

It takes some time, For me to love the world, With a cross-like love that only Christ can provide.

It takes some time, For me to understand, That God makes all things beautiful in His time and not mine.

It takes some time, For me to walk away, From the pleasures of the world that seem so sweet.

And in all those times, That I would call delays, Were detours the Lord allowed me to take, Knowing that rugged paths only strengthen my feet, And raging storms would only steady my soul, In Christ alone – My anchor and My hope.
