I need a sounding board,
And I look to you, to see if you can be one for me,
But here you are with troubles of your own,
Wondering if you can make them disappear.
Is there not a single ear!?
In this whole wide world.
Where I can confess my flaws and fears in the same breath,
Where my worries would not be counted as my weakness but rather burdens to be shared.
Is there not!?, My Lord.
I look to you, My God, My only help,
In the face of my troubles.
Breathe over me your peace from yonder,
Help me Lord to never lose the wonder,
Of your love – that gave it all,
Your grace – that bears it all,
Your mercy – that carries it all.
My God, in heaven above,
Would you lend a ear to my pity cries?
Father please, Will you be my sounding board!?.
Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!
