Walk Away

“Don’t walk away”, He warns me.

“From the people I have placed in your life.”

“But I only end up hurting them, Father.

Everytime I be myself”, I say sadly.

“For I am too much at times,

And not enough the rest of the time.”

Well, Love hurts,

That’s how you know it’s actually love.

You have an entire lifetime to try again and again,

To start over each day,

To be kinder,

To be softer,

And to let people know that you make mistakes too.

To apologise,

To be vulnerable,

To wear your heart on your sleeve and to let people in.

Will that hurt?!,

Sometimes, yes!

But will it be worth it?!,

Forever, yes!

If they walk away,

Let them.

But, Darling, Remember, I never walked away from you and look where we are now!

Love is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others. Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never gives up.
